About

Katya is a professional photographer with an artistic approach and cinematic vision. Her main passion lays in finding a connection between people and environment, and telling stories through portraiture. Alongside photography, Katya nurtures a deep love for watercolour painting — a practice that allows her to explore emotion, memory, and atmosphere in a more intuitive way.

Katya has worked on campaigns, look books and commercial imagery for names such as Delsey Paris, NZ Opera, Kingi, Hotel Britomart, Jasmin Sparrow, Spacefor, The Virtue, Manuka Health, Andiamo, Jervois Steak House, Tahi, Mina For Her, Walker and Bing, Charlotte Penman, Goodnight My Darling, Lou’ana, Foley, NZ Trio, Fin Andrews from The Veils and social campaigns for Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) and Blind Low Vision NZ.

Her work was published in Visual Pleasure Magazine, 17:23 Magazine, REBEL, Flannelle Magazine.

Katya is represented by Film Construction, and based in New Zealand. She is open for travel.

2024 - Was a part of the Exhibition ‘Belonging’ among established commercial photographers in New Zealand, organised by Film Construction

2023 - Represented New Zealand in Global Delsey Paris x Visual Pleasure campaign, as one of the artists who were commissioned to create within their own creative vision

2021- Was a part of the Image Nation Exhibition in Paris 2021 with two images. Both images won awards in Fashion & Beauty Selection

2019-2020 - 3rd Place Winner in Fashion, Fine Art Photography Awards, International with Photo Project Medusa
